As I read through Exploring Sun Valley I began to realize the detail and dedication that has been put into every page. Not only are there thorough maps and specific trail descriptions, but with information on the history, geology and local wildflowers this guide has something for everyone.

After reading over my local favorite hikes I was able to gain a new perspective on trails that I thought I knew by heart. The guidebook also offers great advice for people looking for new trails to explore.

Another aspect I appreciated is the way in which the author shows how all of the trails throughout the valley link together. Learning how the trails overlap allows me to plan longer hikes and rides I did not know were even possible.

The layout of the guide is intuitive and users can find what they are looking for quite easily. The durable paper and binding allows the guide to be put in a pack and pulled out at anytime without worrying about smeared or lost pages.

Exploring Sun Valley is a great new guidebook to the Wood River Valley. It is a fun read and great coffee book table for locals and visitors alike.
