This map spread of
the East Fork of the Big Wood is a sample from the Boulder Mountain section (pages 16-41). Trail names and
their cooresponding map number, distance, vertical gain, difficulty, and the allowed user groups are identified
in the title box on the left side of the spread. Directions to the trailhead, highlights, and a trail
description follow below. On many of the map spreads there is not enough space to include all of the trail
descriptions so they will be referrenced to a
specific page in the overflow hiking descriptions at the end of each
mountain range section.
The name, class, distance, and elevation of the off-trail routes (blue-dashed lines) for each map are also listed on the bottom left of every map spread. Again, due to space limitations, the descriptions for these routes are referrecned to the overflow hiking descriptions. |
